Thanks for the response! Prior to this training, I had not been running at all or doing any regular exercise. I don't have pain first thing in the morning, only during the run and then for a while afterwards. My current shoes are pretty new, I got them about a month ago, early on in my training. I bought some inserts for my shoes the other day, but I haven't put them in yet. I ran 3 miles on Sunday and took two days off, so I was hoping today the pain would be gone, but it came right back. I will definitely take your advice and ice my heels more, do calf stretches, wear shoes, and take some ibuprofen. I think tomorrow I might try to wear my tennis shoes with the inserts to work to see how they feel. Thanks again for your advice!
